For more information read More Critics Corner The Rossettis: Radical Romantics at Tate Britain On a boiling hot Saturday afternoon I was walking in SW1 and just wondered if it was worth dropping by Tate Britain to see this exhibition. Well, it was beautifully cool and with very few other visitors, so I had almost every exhibit to myself, which was a real bonus! The biographical notes are well drafted and there are many examples of the writings as well as the drawings of the Rossetti siblings and Elizabeth Siddall. The paintings by Dante Gabriel and poems by Christina are often familiar, but no less interesting to see en masse like this, and in the context of the Pre-Raphaelites and our usual perceptions of early Victorians! On until 24/September 2023 – allow a good 60 minutes to take it all in.
