Bernard Barker was born and bred in London and educated at the Royal College of Music and Durham University.
He enjoys a mixed portfolio as an educator, conductor, chorus master and organist, and is the Director of Music of the German Church in Knightsbridge; is on the music staff of St James’ Church Piccadilly, and a UK and International examiner for the ABRSM.
He has performed extensively in Europe, also in SE Asia and South Africa. His interests are varied, and include architecture, biographies, church history, French wine, gardens, politics and Westie dogs.
He is a Freeman of the City of London and has been a member of TASV for two years, and is much looking forward to working with the committee in bringing about exciting and interesting lectures and events for the Society’s members.
